GUIDED MEDITATION FOR LETTING GO

Sharee: So much of our stress and anxiety comes from trying to hold onto a false sense of control instead of letting go and trusting in the natural flow of life. This simple guided meditation will help you to relax your tight grip on life, settle into the moment and reconnect to a calm sense of knowing that life will unfold in it’s own natural way and that you are can surrender to that flow. The meditation goes for just under 15 minutes, so grab a cushion, get comfortable and enjoy letting go!

GUIDED MEDITATION FOR CONCENTRATION

Sharee: This meditation for concentration is based on an ancient Indian technique called “Trataka”, which is excellent for focusing the mind and building concentration power. You will need a lit candle placed where you can sit and gaze at it comfortably for this practice (sitting at a table is a good idea), and you will be guided to gaze at a section of the flame for a few seconds, then to close your eyes and hold an image of the flame in your mind’s eye for a few seconds. The process is repeated again and again for about 10 minutes, and it is a great meditation to do regularly to strengthen mental stamina, or it can be done before studying, exams or getting down to work to get you in a clear, calm, focused state of mind.

GUIDED MEDITATION FOR ANXIETY

Sharee: Anxiety is on the rise in our fast-paced society, but thankfully meditation has been scientifically proven to reduce anxiety levels quickly and naturally – without nasty side effects! This short meditation has been designed specifically for anxiety sufferers and will help you to detach from anxious thoughts and find a sense of peace and calm in the present moment. For best results, meditation should be practised every day for at least 10 minutes to make lasting changes to anxiety levels, so you may want to do this one on the daily!

GUIDED MEDITATION FOR SLEEP

Sharee: If you’ve ever had trouble falling asleep because you can’t “switch off” your mind or relax your body, then this short, hypnotic sleep meditation is for you. It will take you on a guided journey to relax your body, get you into that dreamy pre-sleep state of mind, then slowly count backwards until you are fast asleep. Let this meditation become part of your nightly self-care routine and have the most refreshing sleep of your life!

GUIDED MEDITATION FOR RELAXATION

Sharee: This guided meditation practice is based on the traditional mindfulness technique of scanning the body with your awareness. It is very effective for relaxation and calming the mind, because it helps to shift you from a busy, active, thinking state of mind, to a more calm, present state of simply being in the present moment and feeling grounded in the body. This meditation can be done either sitting up straight or lying down, perhaps with a cushion or a bolster underneath the knees for support.

GUIDED MEDITATION FOR STRESS RELIEF

Sharee: This is a very simple mindfulness meditation technique based on becoming aware of your breath and finding relaxation in the present moment. It is especially suitable for beginners and makes a great foundation for a regular meditation practice if practiced daily. It goes for about 10 minutes so can be fit into even the busiest, craziest of days!
